Company Overview:
Kimberley Airport is seeking a qualified professional to join our Operations Management division in a vital role within the Civil Maintenance team.
Key Performance Output:
The successful candidate, reporting to the Manager: Maintenance Engineering, will be responsible for the following:
Conduct daily inspections on all department vehicles and equipment to ensure roadworthiness, serviceability, and operational readiness, including fueling as per scheduled intervals.
Store all maintenance equipment safely and ensure regular cleaning of all department vehicles, maintenance machinery, and workstations.
Drive the tractor and all department vehicles as required for operations.
Operate runway and sweeping machines for maintenance purposes.
Perform daily cleaning maintenance operations by driving refuse removal vehicles.
Assist in additional maintenance activities as instructed by the Manager: Maintenance Engineering.
Report any accidents and incidents involving department vehicles.
Notify about any non-compliance issues regarding department vehicles.
Update logbooks and records as necessary.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure effective operations.
Adhere to relevant legislation, regulations, standards, codes, policies, and procedures.
Technical Skills and Experience:
The following qualifications and experience are required:
A valid Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
1-3 years of experience in maintenance or operations within a facilities environment is essential.
A valid Code C1 driver’s license is required.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Familiarity with the airport environment is advantageous.
