1. Merchandiser Position

Purpose of the Role:

As a merchandiser, you will play a key role in ordering, merchandising, and displaying products while assisting customers throughout their shopping experience.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Count and order stock efficiently.

  • Replenish stock according to the approved layout.

  • Reduce stock damage on the sales floor.

  • Build and maintain product displays as instructed by the supervisor.

  • Keep the stock room organized to ensure no open cases or loose stock are unattended.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of retail experience.

  • Matric or NQF Level 4 equivalent.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Knowledge of hygiene and housekeeping practices.

  • Basic product knowledge (advantageous).

  • Excellent communication skills.


2. Cashier Position

Purpose of the Role:The cashier is responsible for processing customer purchases with accuracy and courtesy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain point-of-sale (POS) systems, including debit card terminals and speed points.

  • Accurately scan customer purchases.

  • Replenish consumable products as needed.

  • Manage cash transactions, including daily cash-up and float balancing.

  • Maintain adequate change at all times.

  • Deposit cash into the smart box throughout the day.

  • Handle all front-end products with care.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers.


Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required:

  • Matric qualification.

  • Previous cashier experience or part-time cashier trainee experience.

  • Strong arithmetic and calculation skills.

  • Good reading and comprehension abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Effective time management.
