Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently through the tills.
Assist customers with product selection to enhance basket value.
Ensure that new and replenished merchandise is available on the sales floor.
Maintain ticketing and visual displays in accordance with company standards.
Support the manager with daily operational duties.
Supervise employees engaged in daily tasks, providing guidance and support as needed.
Ensure completion of daily, weekly, and monthly administrative tasks, including:
Daily banking.
Inventory management.
Securing and accounting for base equipment.
Adhere to health and safety protocols.
Understand and work towards daily/weekly/monthly sales targets.
Assist in implementing action plans to minimize stock loss.
Qualifications
Education: Grade 12 (Non-Negotiable)
Certification: NQF Level 3 or 4 in Wholesale and Retail Operations
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Experience: 2-3 years of retail experience as a Sales Assistant.
Computer Literacy: Proficient in using computer systems.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Customer Care: Ability to provide outstanding customer care and engage effectively with customers.
Till Operations: Demonstrated efficiency in till operations with a solid record of managing cash.
Work Ethic: High standards of work and dedication to maintaining quality on the sales floor.
Initiative: Proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.
Attendance: Excellent record of punctuality and attendance.
Policy Compliance: Willingness to consistently adhere to Shoe City policies and procedures.
Personal Attributes
Integrity and professionalism.
High tolerance for stress.
Ability to work during trading hours of shopping centers.
Understanding of receiving procedures and maintaining stockroom layout according to specifications.
Good planning, delegation, and team leadership skills.
