Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to IT Queries: Provide prompt assistance for IT-related queries from system users.

  • Log and Track Issues: Document and monitor reported technical issues to track the progress of resolutions.

  • User Training: Offer basic telephonic training to users when necessary to enhance their IT skills.

  • Incident Management: Adhere to incident management procedures and coordinate responses to technical challenges.


  • Restore Operations: Assist users in resuming normal operations swiftly to minimize downtime.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with IT support teams to channel complex issues effectively.

  • Inventory Maintenance: Keep a detailed inventory of supported equipment and record logs of IT issues and resolutions.

  • Performance Standards: Meet established performance benchmarks for response and resolution times.

  • Customer Relations: Ensure high service standards and foster a positive relationship with users.


Working Hours

The Service Desk Agent role requires flexibility, with the following shift patterns:

  • Weekdays: Up to 12 hours (06:00 – 18:00)

  • Saturdays: Up to 6 hours (08:00 – 14:00)

  • Sundays: Up to 4 hours (09:00 – 13:00)


Minimum Educational Requirements and Experience


To qualify for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Microsoft Enterprise Administration Certification

  • IT Degree or Diploma

  • At least one year of relevant experience in IT support

  • Strong background in IT complemented by customer service experience


Ideal Qualifications

Additional qualifications that will strengthen your application include:

  • ICT Diploma

  • ITIL Practitioner Certification
