Job Description:

The primary purpose of this role is to attend to cell requirements and perform spot and Co2 welding functions according to company and customer specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Performance Areas:

1. Quality Production: Feed and remove parts from the press, ensuring that only quality parts are produced.

2. Maintenance: Routinely check and clean weld tips, following work instructions.

3. Efficiency: Ensure parts are correctly loaded and clamped to maximize production efficiency.

1. Quality Control: Report any non-conformances to team leaders and remove scrap parts and off-cuts during production.

2. Safety and Environment: Comply with safety, health, and environmental work instructions, follow lockout procedures, and maintain a clean working environment and production equipment.

3. Teamwork: Participate actively in the departmental M2S system and follow reasonable instructions from Team Leaders or Managers.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Spot welding

• Quality concepts

• Understanding of tool and die

• Analytical skills

• Communication skills

• Planning and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to identify and describe problems

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent Welding Certificate

• Minimum 1 year of spot welding experience

• Minimum 3 years of welding experience within an automotive environment

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Assembly jigs
