Requirements

Recommended Competencies:

  • Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, Public Service legislations, and Human Resource Management policies

  • Familiarity with bargaining processes, dispute resolutions, and labour relations statutes

  • Understanding of International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions

  • Knowledge of TVET and CET Administration as well as the Higher Education sector

  • Proficiency in PERSAL

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote and implement sound labour relations practices

  • Provide expert advice on labour relations matters

  • Participate in developing and executing labour relations policies and manuals

  • Conduct capacity-building initiatives for stakeholders

  • Manage and resolve grievances and disputes

  • Represent the employer in conciliation and arbitration proceedings

  • Handle case management for grievances and misconduct cases

  • Engage in collective bargaining processes

  • Strengthen stakeholder relations

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for policy compliance

  • Prepare comprehensive reports on labour relations matters


Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent

    • Diploma or Degree in Labour Relations, Employment Relations, or Human Resources Management

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in Labour Relations or Human Resources Management

  • Skills:

    • Computer literacy

    • Valid driver’s license

    • Willingness to travel

  • A completed Z83 form (latest version)

  • A comprehensive, updated CV (including three contactable references)

  • Certified copies of relevant qualifications, statement of results, ID, and driver’s license (where applicable)
