The Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA) is excited to announce the opening of its prestigious Internship Programme for 2025. This two-year program is designed to equip young, unemployed South African graduates under the age of 35 with invaluable workplace experience, preparing them for successful careers in their respective fields.
About SHRA:
As a Schedule 3A public entity under the Department of Human Settlements, SHRA plays a crucial role in facilitating rental social housing for low to medium-income earners, as stipulated in the Social Housing Act, No. 16 of 2008.

Available Internship Positions:
SHRA is offering multiple internship opportunities, each tailored to develop specific skill sets. The available positions include:
Strategic Research and Planning Intern:
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and reviewing strategic plans and frameworks.
Conduct research on policy matters and draft reports.
Support performance evaluations for SHRA programs.
Provide general administrative assistance.
Requirements:
Grade 12 certificate.
Qualification in Public Policy, Strategic Planning, Research, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Graphic Design Intern:
Responsibilities:
Develop visual content such as infographics, animations, and digital materials.
Support the branding and production of both printed and online communication materials.
Manage social media content by creating posts, monitoring engagement, and analyzing performance.
Assist in the development of multimedia content, including videos and photographs.
Requirements:
Grade 12 certificate.
Recognized three-year bachelor’s degree or national diploma (NQF 7) in Graphic Design or Multimedia.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver).
Skills in audio-visual editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Pro Tools, Audacity).
Familiarity with HTML, motion graphics, and animation.
Stipend and Duration:
Each intern will receive a monthly stipend of R10,500 for the 24-month internship period. These positions require no prior work experience, making them ideal for fresh graduates eager to launch their careers.
