Job Description:

SAB is seeking motivated and talented individuals to join their Sales & Marketing Learnership program. This is an exciting opportunity for those who are passionate about sales, marketing, and the beverage industry to gain valuable experience and skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a market-driven differentiated service that builds sustainable competitiveness within the Tavern Class of Trade, delivering sustainable growth in brand equity, sales volume, market share, competitive advantage, and corporate reputation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Aptitude: Understand the value chain across sales and marketing, seek out competitor information, and make commercially astute decisions.

  • Customer Focus: Develop and sustain productive customer relationships, effectively meet customer needs, and take responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.


  • Accountability: Be accountable for achieving results, take responsibility for actions, and demonstrate high integrity as a representative of SAB.

  • Flexibility: Adapt behavior to changing situations, be open-minded, and adjust priorities in response to unanticipated events.

  • Selling Skills: Identify needs and opportunities, leverage unique value proposition, represent capabilities, and close sales.

  • Planning and Organising: Develop specific plans to leverage SAB’s value proposition and unique competitive advantage against customer needs.

  • Customer Development: Manage and build customer relationships with tavern owners, drive weekly customer calls, and resolve customer issues.

  • AMPPS Delivery: Complete and influence the AMPPS survey by delivering on every targeted plan: Availability, Merchandising, Price, Promotions, and Space.


Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or Degree

  • License: Valid unendorsed Code 8 driver's license

  • Computer Literacy: Basic computer literacy and experience working with Microsoft Office

  • Local Area Knowledge: Local area knowledge is a requirement

  • Flexibility: Ability to work in a flexible working environment (including weekends)

  • Driver's Assessment: Successful completion of a driver's assessment test to demonstrate competency prior to appointment
