Job Description:

As a learner in the Plastic Manufacturing NQF L2 program, you will be part of a team that produces a wide array of packaging solutions for the FMCG and food markets. Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking a range of tasks suited to your current level of training and development.

• Attending training sessions and completing coursework on time and to a high standard.

• Producing, maintaining, and being responsible for the content, accuracy, and sign-off of your portfolio of evidence.

• 
  

• Working independently and conscientiously, with the ability to carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.

• Complying with all ITB Health & Safety, Basic Conditions of Employment, and Quality policies and procedures.

• Participating fully in regular training and development reviews with line management, mentor, HR representatives, and service providers.

Requirements:

To apply for this learnership, you must meet the following educational, experience, and skills requirements:

• Educational Requirements: Completed Matric with passes in Mathematics or Maths Literacy and Science or Accounting.

• Experience Requirements:

  • Be between the ages of 18-30.

  • Must be unemployed.

  • Not studying at any other institution.

  • Not registered on any other learnerships.

  • Be willing to undertake training, assignments, and workplace assessments over one year.

• Skills and Competencies:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness and ability to learn and grasp concepts.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and pay attention to detail.

  • Ability to read, speak, and write English.

  • Willingness and ability to work shifts and weekend overtime where required.

  • Ability to make your own decisions in line with the company and learnership program requirements.

  • Be able to demonstrate an ability to study at an NQF L2 level.

Terms and Conditions:

• This program is exclusively for unemployed candidates.

• Successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term basis (12 months).

• They will be required to sign a Service Contract and a Learnership contract.

• Upon successful completion, candidates will obtain a recognized National Certificate in Plastics Manufacturing.

• Permanent employment is not guaranteed upon completion of the learnership program.

• Candidates will undergo assessment as part of the selection process.
