Job Description
Cashbuild is seeking diligent Cashiers to ensure the accurate handling of all Point of Sale (POS) transactions while providing a high level of customer satisfaction. The successful candidates will play a vital role in managing the checkout process and ensuring that all goods and stock are paid for at the POS.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately handle all POS transactions and maintain proper documentation.
Ensure that no goods or stock pass through the POS without payment.
Manage cash handling tasks, including balancing floats and petty cash.
Verify correct identification and capture of goods on the POS terminal.
Maintain sufficient change at all times and perform accurate cash-ups at shift end.
Report any damaged stock and discrepancies to the Store Manager.
Compile, sign, and file all relevant administrative documentation.
Adhere to safety (OHSA) requirements and security protocols.
Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service to customers during transactions.
Resolve customer inquiries and direct them to appropriate personnel as necessary.
Eligibility & Requirements
Minimum qualification of Grade 12 or one (1) year of work-related experience.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language.
Competence in performing basic calculations accurately.
Strong administration skills.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining quality customer service.
