Job Title: Cashier
Location: Tokai, Western Cape
Employment Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 8 hours per shift, 6 shifts per week
Salary: TBC per month

Job Summary
As a Cashier, you play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have an enjoyable shopping experience. You will be responsible for handling money and ensuring all transactions are accurate. Your attention to detail and strong numerical skills will contribute to a seamless operation. This position reports directly to the Till Supervisor and will require flexibility to work various shifts, including Sundays and Public Holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Operate an electronic point of sale (POS) system with an attached scale.
Accurately ring up all products purchased by customers and provide the correct change.
Maintain accurate records of all payment methods to ensure balanced cash-ups.
Keep the till area clean and hygienic at all times.
Provide exceptional and friendly customer service with a positive attitude.
Stay informed about products on sale, product codes, promotions, and advertisements.
Demonstrate strong communication and time management skills.
Work efficiently, particularly during busy periods.
Requirements
Matric certificate.
Proficiency in English.
Reside within 15 km of the job location.
A clear criminal record.
Preferred Qualifications
South African candidates preferred.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a cashier is an asset.
