Context & Environment

You will be working in a Legal Practice Group (LPG) environment in Bellville, Cape Town, where you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the legal field.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the drafting and reviewing of legal documents, including contracts, complaints, and agreements.

  • Conduct thorough legal research and organize findings to support attorneys in their cases.

  • Attend court hearings or trials, assisting in the preparation of necessary court documents.

  • Prepare legal documents and memoranda relevant to ongoing court cases.

  • Aid in case management by organizing and maintaining client files and documents.

  • Handle client correspondence with supervision from an attorney.

  • Maintain up-to-date legal resources and publications to ensure compliance and relevancy.

  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

  • Learn and adhere to professional conduct and ethics in client interactions and dealings with other professionals.


Candidate Profile
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited law school or relevant undergraduate program.

  • Strong research and writing skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms.

  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.

  • A foundational understanding of legal terminology and principles.
