Job Advert Summary:
Unitrans is seeking to employ a diligent Storeman who will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing goods against requisitions while accurately recording the distribution thereof.
The successful candidate will ensure that stock sheets are updated with daily issues, provide receipts, and administer the daily movement and storage of goods. Additionally, this role includes identifying components required for parts lists and obtaining the necessary items from appropriate bins.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum qualification: Grade 12 / Matric / National Senior Certificate
Experience: Up to 2 years in a similar role

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing goods against requisitions; maintaining accurate records.
Ensure that stock sheets are updated daily with issues and receipts; administer daily movement and storage of goods.
Secure and account for all stock properly.
Oversee stock transfers (e.g., from Johannesburg) before the close of business.
Conduct pre-offloading checks on containers; verify Certificates of Analysis (COA) and Certificates of Compliance (COC); perform Goods Received Notes (GRN) documentation.
Support the training of new candidates.
Maintain and clean the warehouse to align with FSSC22000/ISO 90001 regulations; keep the warehouse organized.
Collect rejects from production for return to suppliers.
Foster and maintain ongoing relationships with customers.
Drive a truck to ensure no fuel shortages occur.
Follow First Expiry First Out (FEFO) and First In First Out (FIFO) principles for stock management.
Update forklift drivers’ timesheets every Monday.
Ensure forklifts are maintained to standard; report any damages immediately.
Adhere to the company’s code of conduct, policies, and procedures.
Follow health and safety measures at all times.
