Job Summary:

South African National Parks is seeking a dedicated General Worker to maintain the beautiful and safe environment of Groenkloof National Park.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general building maintenance and landscaping duties.

• Conduct routine upkeep and examination of garden areas.

• Execute technical tasks within the candidate's area of expertise.

• Maintain lawns, gardens, and cleanliness of driveways and pathways.

• Clean vehicles and tools related to maintenance tasks.

• Assist in gathering shelter at various locations within the park.

• Perform additional ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

• Education: Grade 12 certificate is a prerequisite.

• Experience: Minimum of one to two years of hands-on garden care experience.

• Skills:

  • Familiarity with occupational safety and health standards.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to use garden machinery and perform maintenance tasks.

  • Basic technological skills.

Physical Fitness:

Must maintain good physical health to perform job functions effectively.
