Job Purpose:

The Cashier will provide essential cashiering and administration services, ensuring smooth financial operations within the Early Morning Market.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Provide cashiering functions efficiently.

• Perform administrative tasks, such as calculating average prices for surcharge.

• Operate a personal computer proficiently.

• Collect payments and issue receipts.

• Balance and pay all money collected to the Central Cashier.

• Extract and prepare financial reports as required.

Competencies:

• Written Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

• Oral Communication: Strong verbal communication skills.

• Attention to Detail: Precision in financial transactions and record-keeping.

• Influencing: Ability to persuade and communicate effectively.

• Business Process: Understanding of the cashiering process and financial management.

• Use of Technology: Proficient in the use of computers and software.

• Financial Management: Knowledge of managing financial processes.

• Interpersonal Relationship: Ability to build positive working relationships.

• Client Orientation & Customer Focus: Commitment to excellent customer service.

• Learning Orientation: Willingness to develop and grow within the role.

Essential Requirements:

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.

• Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in a cashiering environment.

• Computer Literacy is a must.

Preferred Requirements:

• 12 months of relevant experience in cashiering is preferred.
