Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that products are neatly displayed on shelves and available to customers.

• Monitor stock levels and ensure products have not reached their sell-by dates.

• Provide timely assistance for out-of-stock queries and efficiently address customer needs.

• Conduct transactions accurately and manage payment processes.

• Maintain an organized storeroom and report stock discrepancies.

• Engage with customers, providing courteous advice, and addressing complaints and compliments.

• Assist with training new staff members when necessary.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate.

• 0 – 6 months retail work experience.

Advantageous:

• 1 year of retail experience.

• Certification in Retail Business Management.

Competencies

Essential:

• Understanding of retail operations and basic arithmetic.

• Strong verbal communication skills.

• Ability to follow procedures and take responsibility for work quality.

Advantageous:

• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP).

Special Conditions of Employment

• Must be able to work retail hours.

• Must be a South African citizen with no criminal record and clear credit rating.

• Driver’s license and own reliable transport are required.
