Position Summary
To ensure the efficient operation of the dispensary and deliver service excellence by maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical care, aimed at meeting sales and compliance targets while providing a competitive advantage for the brand.
Job Description
Job Objectives:
Provide high standards of pharmaceutical care, ensuring accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution, while adhering to Clicks’ operational standards, good pharmacy practices, and legal requirements set by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
Execute all operational activities within the dispensary, ensuring effective stock management, shrinkage control, general housekeeping, and administration in accordance with merchandising, SAPC regulations, and company policies.
Focus on achieving core dispensary and clinic targets to maintain operational viability.
Oversee the training and development of Pharmacist Assistants and Pharmacist Interns as required by the SAPC to ensure competent and motivated employees.
Implement customer service initiatives within the dispensary to enhance the customer experience, encourage customer loyalty, and meet club card participation targets.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders (centre managers, suppliers, distribution centers) to achieve business objectives and maximize opportunities.
Collaborate with clinic and healthcare aisles to provide comprehensive healthcare solutions to customers.
Support the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice in health and beauty by living and promoting the company values.
Knowledge Requirements
Knowledge of SAPC regulations and other relevant legal frameworks.
Understanding of ethical working practices and compliance guidelines.
Familiarity with stock, cost, risk, and compliance management procedures.
Knowledge of patient care and professional counseling.

Minimum Requirements
Experience:
Retail pharmacy experience is required.
Familiarity with Unisolve is preferred.
Education:
Essential: Registered Pharmacist with SAPC.
