Key Responsibilities:

As a Shop Assistant/Cashier, you will be tasked with delivering service excellence through efficient customer interactions and point-of-sale operations. Your main objectives will include:

• Executing operational activities at the point of sale promptly.

• Maintaining accuracy when scanning items and processing payments.

• Handling cash responsibly at all times.

• Promoting Clicks' clubcard and enrolling new members to achieve targets.

• Informing customers about promotions to encourage sales.

• Providing superior customer service and acting as a brand ambassador.

• Maintaining store merchandising and cleanliness standards.

Skills Required:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and knowledge:

• Knowledge: Basic maths skills, an understanding of retail/FMCG principles, stock management, and customer service excellence.

• Skills: Planning, organizing, problem-solving, strong customer orientation, good communication, and computer literacy.

• Competencies: Ability to relate and network, follow instructions, and meet customer expectations.

Experience and Education:

• Experience: Desirable experience in a customer-facing role within retail or FMCG.

• Education: Essential to have a Grade 12 certificate. A pass in Maths and English (50%) at Grade 12 level is desirable.
