Job Description

As a Visual Merchandiser for Poetry, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience through effective visual merchandising. Your key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities

• Implement window campaigns that align with company brand standards and marketing objectives.

• Set up seasonal and promotional displays on time.

• Ensure visual merchandising elements, including window displays, in-store displays, and signage, are current, clean, and well-maintained.

• Maintain housekeeping and uphold visual merchandising standards to boost sales.

• Collaborate with the marketing department to execute brand strategies through displays.

• Utilize space efficiently to maximize product visibility and accessibility.

• Maintain visual merchandising standards as communicated by Head Office to optimize presentations.

• Be responsible for the working condition of all Silent Sales Signage within the store.

• Order visual merchandising fixtures alongside the Field Visual Merchandiser.

• Execute visual merchandising instructions from Head Office to adhere to brand strategies.

• Identify and optimize in-store opportunities to increase turnover.

• Exceed customer expectations using effective selling techniques.

• Establish professional relationships with customers, providing friendly and helpful assistance.

• Adhere to stock loss controls within the store.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Matric or equivalent.

• 1 year of visual merchandising in-store experience.

• 2 years of work experience within retail.

• Proven experience in visual merchandising, preferably in a retail environment.

• Microsoft computer proficiency (ability to complete PowerPoint presentations and written feedback on campaigns/promotions).

Advantageous:

• Additional education or training in visual merchandising or a related field.

• Knowledge of current fashion trends/outdoor lifestyle.

Special Conditions of Employment:

• Clear credit and criminal record.

• Willing and able to work retail hours.

• Willing and able to assist with new store openings in the area.

• South African citizen.
